I have found that when analyzing treatments for dry scalp we tend to lump together two terms: Psoriasis and Seborrheic (or Scalp) Dermatitis. They’re often used interchangeably to describe scalp conditions and many times they even are rolled into being called dandruff. It’s Dandruff vs dry scalp. They’re not the same, however.
